Shore hardness reader

This durometer is the perfect way to measure your epoxy to know if it’s hard enough to start working on. Simply place the pin on the surface of the epoxy and get a reading. Anything above 70D is acceptable for machining to start. Please note the epoxy will continue to harden and read higher than this. 

Epoxy is measured in what they call shore hardness. These meters are perfect for testing your epoxy to see how far it is into the curing process. Our epoxies range from 70-85 in shore hardness. With our casting epoxies we don’t recommend machining until at least 65-70 in shore hardness, making these meters ideal for testing when your epoxy is ready to de mould.
